Plano voters weighed five venue taxes for a Stars arena as Dallas hit the road

Dallas's defense leads the league

22.3
shots on goal allowed per game, the league's lowest
2.14
goals-against average, the NHL's best
17
points for Dallas, fourth in the Central Division

If you've been following the Stars' move north, Plano voters had a say. Dallas News reported Tuesday morning that voters in a special election on five would decide whether to help fund an arena the Stars plan to lease. Results weren't in the reports we had this morning.

On the ice, the Stars practiced Monday in Frisco and then opened a two-game road trip Tuesday at Washington, with a 6 p.m. CT puck drop on Prime Video.

  • Stars record: 8-5-1, fourth in the Central Division
  • Road record: 3-1-1
  • Last homestand: 4-2-0, ending with a 3-1 win over Columbus
  • Capitals: 8-5-0 with 16 points, third in the Metropolitan Division

Coach Glen Gulutzan said the last three games at American Airlines Center showed signs of mental fatigue. "With the way we are playing at home, it's time to go on the road," he said. Capitals coach Spencer Carbery called Dallas "one of the stingiest teams defensively."

Coco is home safe and sound!

“🤣 I found her on the next street over while I was out searching and handing out "lost pet" flyers.
